CommentaryThe late owner of the goods sold may be Elbert Diercs Metselaer who was betrothed to Neel Claes on 26 May 1598 (DTB 663/75). Jan Harmensz. cuyper, to whom the proceeds of the sale were paid, was overman of the guild of kolenmeters on 18 September 1613 (Van Dillen, Bronnen tot de geschiedenis van het bedrijfsleven R.G.P. 78(1933), p. 63).
