Buyer NotesThe buyer was a beer distributor (bierbeschoijer). On 15 January 1627, he was surety for the sale of a house belonging to the late Carel Cre (or Carre), which was bought by Pieter Emmanuel steenhouwer for 3840 f. (WK, 5073/913). On the sculptor Pieter Emanuelsz., see also the NOTES to R 33266. On 14 December 1633, Melchert Cornelisz. for himself and for the children of Cornelis Craij Isaacksz., his swager; Isaack Wernersz. Kitsgens (of R 20063) for himself and for Jan Gerritsz., his brother-in-law; Jan Jansz. Keijser, rooijmeester, for himself and for his sister's children and brothers, transferred to Hendrick Fredericksz., bierbeschooier, a single grave (NA 595, fol. 398, Not. Lamberti). Jan Jansz. Keijser, cited in the NOTES to R 31446, was a mason. His duties as rooijmeester involved the proper alignment of houses. On 28 July 1638, Claes Boumeester, tailor, sold to Hendrick Fredericksz., beer distributor, half the wall of Bouwmeester's house on the N.Z Voorburgwal between the house of Pieter Jansz. Reael, receiver (of R 28042) and the house of Symon de Ryck (of R 20389). The house of Hendrick Fredericksz. stood on the East side of the N.Z. Achterburchwal. He paid 70 f. for the wall (NA 1186, fol. 35, Not. J. de Vos).
