Commentary | Dirck van Nes is almost certainly identical with the buyer Dirck van Est of R 32776. He was a merchant who was involved in trade with Bordeaux (for the arguments pleading for this identification, see the NOTES to R 32776 of Montias2). Note also that Dirck van Est bought mainly prints at auction (37 out of 38 objects) and that the auction of his goods consisted entirely of prints. | ||||
