William B. Ruger was an art collector, inventor, industrialist, and businessman who founded Ruger Corporation, a firearms manufacturer. Ruger collected antique firearms, 19th-century Western American art and old cars. Artwork in his collection depicted the American West, hunting, wildlife, landscapes, and historical scenes- artists include Frederic Sackrider Remington, Maxfield Parrish, Albert Bierstadt, Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait, Frederic Remington, Charles Russell, Alexander Pope, and Carl Rungius. |
