Irene Wennerker, and her husband James collected of 19th century French oil paintings, watercolors and drawings. The couple shared their collection by donating works of art to the University of Kentucky. The collection included work by Jules-Adolphe Goupil, Étienne-Prosper Berne-Bellecour, Rosa Bonheur, Gustave Doré, Jean-Baptiste-Édouard Detaille, Jehan Georges Vibert and many others. |
