Collector, architect, partner in the firm Goodwin, Bullard, and Woolsey, a MoMA trustee, and the son of the banker James Junius Goodwin (first cousin of John Pierpont Morgan, Jr.). Goodwin's collection was divided among the Yale University Art Gallery, Wadsworth Atheneum and the Museum of Modern Art. Goodwin's collection consisted of sculpture, oil paintings, water colors, and included work by Carl Milles, Alexander Calder, Redon, Vuillard, Leger, Riopelle, MacIver, Demuth, John Marin, and John von Wicht. |
