Linsky was a collector, philanthropist, businessman, founder and former chairman and president of Swingline Inc. (manufacturers of stapling machines and office stationery). In concert with his wife, Belle, Linksy collected both fine and decorative art for over forty years. Belle donated the bulk of the collection to the Metropolitan Museum of Art which is housed in the Jack and Belle Linsky Galleries at the museum. The remaining works of art in the Linsky Collection is owned by the Jack and Belle Linsky Foundation. |
