Sarabel "Sue" Browarsky Florsheim was a collector, philanthropist and the second wife of the Florsheim Shoe Company heir, Harold Florsheim. Her collection sold via Sotheby's Auction house in 2004, the collection included an 1880 Seine landscape by Claude Monet, "La Route de Vetheuil," as well as works by Edgar Degas, Georges Braque, Paul Klee, and Henri Matisse. Her collection included Impressionist and Modern, Contemporary, Latin American and American pictures as well as Furniture, Chinese works of art, Decorative Arts - Silver, English Furniture and Porcelain. |
