history Grenville Lindall Winthrop (1864–1943) was an art collector, lawyer and banker.

Winthrop collected 19th century French, British, and American paintings and drawings. His collection included work by, among others, Delacroix, Ingres, David, Ingres, Gericault, Chassériau, Moreau, Blake, Rossetti, Burne-Jones, Homer, Sargent, and Whistler.

Winthrop left his collection to the Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University.
