The Gandy Collection sold in conjunction with Mr. G Talbot Olyphant’s collection at the Somerville Gallery, New York, NY, 1875. Gandy's art collection included work from American, London, Paris, Dusseldorf, Frankfort, Brussels, Rome and The Hague artists. This included work by, among others, J F Kensett, F E Church, E. Frère, A P Durand, Boddington, Bierstadt, and Cooman. Gandy lent work to The Universal Exhibition held in Paris, 1867. |
