Chauncey Brooks McCormick was a businessman, philanthropist, art collector, and served as president of the Art Institute of Chicago (1944–1954). Chauncey was married to Marion Deering McCormick (1886–1965), the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Deering of Chicago. He was the was a son of William Grigsby (1851–1941) and Eleanor Brooks McCormick (1815–1865). |
