Harold "Hal" Brent Wallis was an art collector and movie producer. Wallis collected Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works of art and included, among others, work by Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Pierre Bonnard, Mary Cassatt, Jean Edouard Vuillard and Henri Fantin-Latour, Egon Schiele, and Wassily Kandinsky. Wallis’ collection was auctioned by Christie's New York in May of 1989. He was married to the silent film comedienne Louise Fazenda for many years. After their divorce, he married the actress Martha Hyer. |
