Paul Raymond Jones was an art collector of Black-American Art and his collection included work by, among others, Charles White, Herman "Kofi" Bailey, David Driskell, Elizabeth Catlett, Earl Hooks, Leo Twiggs, Ayokunle Odeleye, Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, P.H. Polk and Selma Burke. Artworks from his collection were exhibited in 1993 at the University of Delaware and in 2001 he donated part of his collection to the same institutions. In 2008, Jones donated 1,700 works to the University of Alabama. |
