history A gallery owned and operated by Henry Schultheis (1864-1948) until he retired at which point his family ran the gallery. He opened the first gallery in 1886, two years after imigrating to the U.S. from Flonheim Germany. Henry Schultheis retired in 1938.

The gallery specialized in buying and selling contemporary German, Austrian, and Hungarian paintings.
