Anna Spencer Brugh Singer was an art collector who married William Henry Singer (1868-1943). She and her husband collected work from the Barbizon School, contemporary American artists, Dutch and French Sculpture, and European and Asian antiques. Anna was one of the founders of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in her hometown of Hagerstown, MD, and of Singer Laren in The Netherlands. |
