Alvan Tufts Fuller was an art collector, businessman, philanthropist, Congressman and Governor of Massachusetts. Fuller's collection included work by Renoir, Rembrandt, Turner, Gainsborough, Sargent, Monet, Van Dyck, Romney, Boccaccino, Boucher and Reynolds. Fullers collection was donated to the National Gallery of Art in Washington and The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He established the Fuller Foundation, Inc., based in Boston. |
