J. B. Laughlin collected modern Dutch paintings. His collection included work by Ziem, Wyant, Murphy, and a portrait of Mrs. Hunter by Angelica Kaufmann. Laughlin was married to Clara B. Young Laughlin and graduated from Princeton University in 1886. Laughlin belonged to the Dusquesne, Union, Pittsburgh and Allegheny Country, and Princeton Club of New York and Philadelphia. |
