John A Brown was a Rhode Island art collector. According to The Art Treasures of America, Brown owned work by among others, W.A. Bougeureau, J.B.C. Corot, H. Merle and John George Meyer. Artwork from Brown's collection was sold at an auction held by the American Art Association at Chickering Hall in New York City in 1886. |
