In addition to dealing in decorative and fine arts O. Rundle Gilbert was well known for the collection and sale of patent models. The auction house was owned by auctioneer and appraiser, O. Rundle Gilbert (1906–1989). Mr. Gilbert was a self-employed auctioneer for almost 50 years, specializing in Americana of the 19th and early 20th centuries. He ran his business out of Garrison, N.Y., and held auctions in many cities along the East Coast. He retired in 1984. |
