Jordan Schnitzer is a businessman, philanthropist (The Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation), and art collector. Contemporary prints are the focus of Schnitzer’s collection and it includes approximately 8,000 prints by, among others, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Damien Hirst, Agnes Martin, Louise Bourgeois, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, John Baldessari, Ellsworth Kelly, Edward Ruscha, Robert Gober, Bruce Nauman, Donald Judd, Frank Stella, Kara Walker, and Chuck Close. Schnitzer sees his art collection as a lending library and loans work to museums and curators on a regular basis. In addition to prints/multiples, Schnitzer collects paintings from regional artists. His parents, Harold and Arlene Schnitzer, also collected art. |
