Edward Dudley Hume Johnson was a collector of drawings and watercolours, writer, professor at Princeton University (1939-1941 and 1946-1978),Rhodes Scholar, and an authority on British arts and letters. Though Johnson focused his collecting efforts on the watercolourists from the English School, he owned works by other artists such as Matisse and Pascin. |
