Maurice E. Morris Culberg was an art collector and businessman (Asbestos and Cork Company). He and his wife, Ruth S. Culberg (1906–1980), owned work by, among others, Piet Mondrian, Maurice de Vlaminck, Aaron Siskind, Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Hans Hofman, Paul Delvaux, Kurt Schwitters, Jean Arp, Willem de Kooning, and Jean Dubuffet.
