history Michael Rosenfeld Gallery was established in 1989 in the Gallery Building on 57th Street in New York. The gallery specializes in 20th century American art, with a particular focus on the work of Black artists, and has exhibited the work of a wide range of artists, including Romare Bearden, Benny Andrews, Norman Lewis, and Alma Thomas. It has also featured the work of emerging artists, such as Hannelore Baron, Mary Bauermeister, John Biggers, Federico Castellon, Harold Cousins, Beauford Delaney, Claire Falkenstein, Michael Goldberg, Morris Graves, Nancy Grossman, Seymour Lipton, Boris Margo, Alfonso Ossorio, Theodore Roszak, Louis Stone, Bob Thompson, Charmion von Wiegand, and William T.
