Klaus Kertess is an art dealer, art historian, curator and writer. Kertess was a co-founder of and ran the influential Bykert Gallery from 1966 to 1975, helping to start the careers of Brice Marden, Chuck Close and David Novros. J. Frederick Byers was the co-founder and financial backer of Bykert Gallery. Kertess was the curator of The Whitney Museum of American Art's 1995 Biennial Exhibition. |
