Harry Kahn, investment adviser, art collector, philanthropist, served on the board of the Brooklyn Museum of Art until 1997, founder of its Contemporary Arts Council and, at his death, was a member of the Acquisitions Committee. He and his partner and companion, Ruth Bowman, collected self portraits by twentieth-century American artists. |
