Art collector and psychologist. She and her husband, Milton Lowenthal, collected American paintings and sculpture of the 1930's and 40's, chiefly between the years, 1943 and 1958. Thirty-one works left left to the Brooklyn Museum and eight to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Some of the artists they collected work by were Milton Avery, Georgia O'Keeffe, Davis, Marsden Hartley and Charles Sheeler. |
