Buyer | Albert Hendricksz. steenhower over 't [blauewe ?] huijs |
Buyer Family | Hendricksz., Albert | Buyer Notes | On 4 June 1611, Albrecht Henricx, from Coesvelt, living on the Gelderse Kaij, was betrothed to Dirckgen Daniels, from Leyden, and living there (DTB 762a/291). Albert Hendricksz. was a sculptor (later a stone dealer). On 5 December 1618, Meynert Jansz., tax master for stones and other bulk wares, summoned him, along with other dealers and sculptors, to declare his stock. He said he had on hand 13 pairs of posts (probably for hearths) (NA 381, fol. 542). In a sale of 1629, he was said to be living on the Prinsengracht across the Blomgracht (R 23928). He does not seem to have been recorded in the 1631 Kohier. His house was read by Bredius as 't weeuma huijs. It is likely to be 't blaeuwe huijs. On 13 February 1636, Albert Henricx, steenhower, 50, made a deposition at the request of Jan Jochumsz. Pol, lumber dealer, concerning the building of a house for which the building stone had not been paid (NA 695A. omslag 71, film 4981). The death inventory of Albert Hendricksz., stone dealer, was taken on 6 March 1637. One of the heirs was his daughter Agnietgen Alberts (NA 1004, film 1233, Not. Coren). On Agnietgen Alberts, see the NOTES to R 24934. On 17 October 1640, Pieter Jansz. Blauwenhaen (of R 37242) and Jan ten Burgh appeared before the Orphan Chamber as guardians of Neeltgen, 13, Dirck, 9, Jacob, 6, and Andries, 3, the (minor) children left by Albert Heyndrix, steenhower, and Dirckge Daniels, and declared that the children were entitled to an obligation with the face value of 1,200 f. and another for 2,600 f. which was in the custody of the guardians, and half of a house in Leiden (WK 5073/789). |
