BuyerHendrick Lunenburch over Gerrit Jacobsz.
Buyer FamilyLunenburch, Hendrick (van)
Buyer NotesOn 1 May 1621, Henrick Jansz. van Lunenborch, 27 years old, living in the Huydestraet, was betrothed to Ytje Henriks van Norden, widow of Henrick Dircx., living in the Nes (DT 669/11). On 6 February 1633, Henrick Meynert, bode van Lier op Grimmegen, living op de Beurse, declared having received out of the hands of Pieter Jansz. van Lunenburgh, receiver (of taxes?), the sum of 75 f. This resulted from a dispute that Meynert had had with Lunenburgh, which was now settled (NA 991, fol.6, Not. J. Bosch). On 7 July 1635, Sr. Jan van Lunenburg, merchant, insinuated Herman Hermansz., broker, complaining that the latter had given money on Lunenburg's behalf without his consent to Gosvinus Sirpma (Sirxma) who had gone faillit (NA 412A, Not. Jacob and Nicolas Jacobsz.) On 2 July 1632, Gosvinus Sirxma and Symon van Doyum signed a contract for spinning silk and making various silk products. Van Doyum would carry on the work and Sirxma would advance the capital (Van Dillen, Bronnen tot de geschiedenis van het bedrijfsleven R.G.P. 78(1933), pp.806-7). On 4 January 1636, Jan van Lunenburg insinuated the goldsmith Aernout Henricksz. Vrissenburgh regarding a house in the Nes (NA 413A, fol. 19). It is not clear whether the last two references to Jan van Lunenburg concern the father of the buyer or his son Jan Hendricksz. II (the father would have been at least in his late 60s by this time).
