Postscript: Aldus geinventariseert ende beschreven ten overstaen van Cornelis Claessen Outewael ende Artus de Haze, als by de heeren commissarissen gestelt tot curateurs over den boedel van Jeremias Hagens den xiiii december 1643. By my ondergeschreven secretaris van den heeren commissarissen, Frans Bruijningh.
CommentaryOn 10 April 1610, Jeremijas Hagen and his wife Catlijne Hagens had their daughter Maria baptized in the O.K. in the presence of Pieter le Feber (probably his father-in-law), Jacob Moock, and Marija Marisel [Marechal?] (DTB 7/83). On 23 June 1630, Jeremie Hagens and Catrijne Lefebre had their daughter Catrijn baptized in the N.K. in the presence of Catrina Pels (DTB 41/85). He was said to be a pasteybacker when he bought a lot at auction in 1637 (R 33746). On Artus de Haze (Aert de Haes II) who supervised the inventory see INVNO 175. Catrijne Lefebre had apparently already died when this inventory was made, but Hagens was still alive. Another inventory was drawn up after his death on 30 June 1646. The two inventories, both made by the Desolate Boedelskamer overlap only in part. The works of art that were said to be in the Binnecamer in 1646 and that seem to have been omitted in the present inventory have been added at the end of this inventory. The only painting that Hagens had bought at an Orphan Chamber auction that can be identified in either of the two bankrupt inventories is a large kitchen piece, which occurs in the Voorhuys of both.
