CommentaryAnthonij Auckema (II) was (first ?) married to Catherina van Wickevoort, who was probably the daughter of Caspar van Wickevoort of R 21502. For details on the baptisms of Auckema's children and other documents concerning him, see also the NOTES to R 7695 of Montias2. He may have been the son or the grandson of Anthony Aucema(?) cited for a letter of credit that he had signed in 1571, in a document dated 8 December 1592 (Winkelman, Bronnen voor de geschiedenis van het Oostzeehandel, R.G.P., 178(1981), p. 338). Anthony Auckema (II) of the present inventory was a sworn broker.
