Introduction	Inventaris van de meublen, huijsraet ende winckelwaren bevonden in den boedel van Laurens Jansz. Looten. Postscript: Aldus geinventariseert den 26 marty 1650.
Commentary	On 8 February 1612, Laurens Jansz. Looten, from Leyden, 25 years old, borattier (a sort of textile worker), was betrothed to Annetje Stevens, living on the Nieuwendijck, assisted by her parents Steven Jansz. and Martgien Jans (DTB 667/2). Lourens Jansz. Looten paid a tax of 30 f. in 1631, at which time he lived, as he did at the time the present inventory was taken, on the Nieuwendijck (Kohier, fol. 40vo, p. 10). He was a buyer at Orphan Chamber auction in 1635 (R 25537). Laurens Jansz. Looten was the father of the painter Jan Looten of R 25537.
