Commentary | On 4 July 1624, Abraham Galis and Sara Gallus had their daughter Marijtjen baptized in the O.K. in the presence of Jaepje Pietersdr. (DTB 6/86). His son of the same name was betrothed on 25 October 1625. Abraham Gallus (II), silversmith (crossed out: merchant), from Franckenthal, 25, assisted by his father Abraham Gallus de oude, living on the Deventer Houtmarckt, was betrothed to Anna Reyniers, widow of Herman Frericx (DTB 430/289). It was perhaps Abraham Gallus (Gallis) II who was said to be renting a room on 16 September 1634 (NA 751, film 5178, fol. 394, Not. P. van Perssen). | |
