Introduction	Inventaris van de meublen, huijsraet ende coopmanschappen competerende den boedel van Elias de Raedt. Postscript: Aldus geinventariseert ende beschreven den 24e ende 25e maeij 1644.
Commentary	Elias de Raedt II was the son of Elias de Raet I (of R 28395 of Montias2) and of his second wife Janneken Aeriens. He was baptized on 18 August 1602. Assisted by his father, he was betrothed to Isabeau (Isabelle) Visscher on 3 December 1627 (DTB 432/481). He was a merchant, perhaps dealing in cloth (NOTES to R 28395). He or his father (who died before 1632) paid a tax of 325 f. in 1631, at which time one or the other lived on the O.Z. Voorburgwal near the Kerckhoff. After he was declared insolvent and the present inventory was drawn up, John Raij (of R 20339 of Montias2) and Aernhout de Raet, who may have been his brother, constituted themselves sureties for him on 22 July 1644 (DBK 5072/872). He had already died when his daughter Sarah was married to Christoffel Thijsz., widower of Magdalena Beltens (of INVNO 1089), in 1660 (I. van Eeghen in Jaarboek Amstelodamum, p. 102).
