Second postscript: Op huijden den 21 maij 1644 heeft Jan Gabri coopman ter stede gestelt borgh ende cautionaris ten behoeve van de crediteuren van Coenrat Coijmans sijn schoonvader voor de coopmanschappen, meublen ende huysraet den boedel van den selven Coenrat Coijmans competerende in de bovenst[aende] inventaris ... [belovende] dat de selve niet vermindert sullen werden ... off verandert sullen. Belovende soo eenige gealteert werden ... te restitueren oft goet te doen, onder 't verbant van syn persoon ende goederen die submitterende ... Actum in Amsterdam ten daege en jaeren als boven.
Commentary	Coenradt Coymans was the son of Caspar Coymans of R 31693 of Montias2 and of Isabeau (or Isabelle) van Lemens. His siblings were Cornelia, Caspar II, Clara , Henrick, Jacques, Susanna, Constantia (II), and Lucretia Coymans (of INVNO 1040), who married Pieter Cruypenning. He was the nephew of the rich collector Balthasar Coymans. He was betrothed to Maria Schuyl, daughter of Willem Schuyl and Anna van Panhuys, on 14 January 1614 (DTB 417/314). On 19 September 1619, Coenraet Coijmans and Marija Schuijl had their son Coenraet baptized in the O.K. in the presence of Bartholomeus van Panuijs and Constantia Cruijpenninck (DTb 5/294). Coenraet was the brother-in-law of Jan Raije (of R 20339 of Montias2), marrried to Barber Schuyl; of Daniel de la Bistrate I (cited in the TEXT of R 148), married to Margriet Schuyl; and of Wijnand Schuyl, married to Maria Bartolotti. Jasper Coymans III, the son of Coenradt Coymans and of Maria Schuyl, was betrothed to Elisabeth van Solt, daughter of Willem van Solt, on 3 March 1644. Elisabeth was Jasper's first cousin. Coenradt's brother Jasper Coymans II was married to Margaretha de Keyser. Their daughter Isabeau Coymans, baptized in Amsterdam on 9 May 1613, was betrothed to Francois Montanier, from Marseilles, 22, silk spinner, on 17 March 1633. Montanier was assisted by his guardians Coenradt himself and David Jansz. IJpelaer (the brother of Gabriel Jansz. IJpelar of INVNO 264). When the daughter of Montanier and Isabeau Coymans was baptized on 15 March 1635, the witnesses were Coenraedt Coymans, Anna van Lemmens, and Margriete de Keyser (De Nederlandsche Leeuw 82(1965), col. 267). On 17 February 1643, Coenradt Coymans extended a loan of 4,000 pounds vl. (24,000 f.) to his sister Lucretia, widow of Pieter Cruypenning, who was in financial distress (see the INTRO to INVNO 1192). It is perhaps significant that he became insolvent a year later. Jean Gabri (II), the son-in-law of Coenradt Coymans, who declared himself surety on behalf of Coenradt Coymans's creditors on 21 May 1644 (see INTRO), has not been securely identified. He may have been the son of Daniel Gabry (cited int NOTES to R 7616) and the grandson of Jan Gabry (I) (cited in the TEXT of R 516). He presumably married a daughter of Coenradt Coymans.
