Commentary	Belitje Martens was betrothed to Egbert Janssen on 5 July 1641 (DTB 676/67). From the contents of the inventory, which included a box with silver instruments, medical books, and a silver shaving dish on which Egbert van der Horst's name was inscribed, it may be inferred that he was a surgeon.
