Introduction	Inventaris van alle de goederen actien en gerechticheden mitsgaders in ende uytschulden metter doot ontruijmt en achtergelaten by Dirck van Delft de jonge in sijn leven steencoper sulcx de selve by Cornelia van der Beets syne weduwe tegenwoordich ... beseten. Beschreven opt aengeven van de selve weduwe en te haeren overstaen by my Albert Eggericx notaris ... in Amsterdam residerende in presentie van de ..naergenoemde getuygen.
Commentary	On 27 August 1650, Dirck Dircksz. van Delft, from Amsterdam, stone dealer, living on the Lylysgracht, assisted by his father Dirck van Delft, was betrothed to Cornelia Dirks van der Beets, living on the Princengracht, 22, assisted by her father Dirck Wynantsz. van der Beets (DTB 468/60). Dirck Dircksz. van Delft was the son of Dirck Arentsz. van Delft (de oude) of INVNO 509 and the nephew of Pieter Adriaensz. van Delft, stone sculptor, cited in R 21468, and of Jan Adriaensz. van Delft, cited in R 30032 of Montias2. Both Dirck van Delft father and son lived on the Lelysgracht. It was probably Dirck van Delft III, married to Elisabeth Savery, who had his son Mathijs baptized in the O.K. on 5 June 1675 (Oud Holland 4(1886), p.78). It is interesting to note that Mathijs Savery, who was probably the boy's grandfather, stood surety for Pieter van Delft on 11 July 1653, as he did for the stone dealer Pieter de Keyser on 19 December 1657 (ibid. p.77). The attributions in this inventory were made by a more literate hand than the subject entries. Note that, with the possible exception of a painting by Van Goyen, there seems to be no overlap with the art works in the collection of Dirck van Delft (de oude) in INVNO 509, who was alive four years after the death of Dirck van Delft de jonge in this inventory.
