Commentary | On 2 June 1643, Johannes Troost, from Amsterdam, bookbinder, 23 years old, no living parents, assisted by his uncle Thomas Hartogh (of R 30405 of Montias2), was betrothed to Anna le Miire (signs le Maire), assisted by her mother Catharina Kick, 22 (DTB 459/244). Catharina Kick was the wife of Hans le Maire, maker of gilded leather, of R 20171. On 3 November 1662, Johannes Troost, widower of Anna le Maire, was betrothed to Anna Barents Voogt, widow of Abraham van Bueren (DTB 483/416). On 30 April 1672, Anna Vooght, widow of Johannes Troost, was betrothed to Jan Cruijwagen (Kruywagen) (DTB 688/355). In a group portrait of the family Cruywagen (Rijksmuseum), Jan Cruywagen holds the goat. After the death of Jan Troost, a court decision awarded Anna Voogt a 5/6th part of his house on the Halssteech.
