Roch haer soon, Apolonia Selyns haer dochters dochter, Hendrick Selyns haer dochters soon, ende d'voorn. Jochum Jansz. Roch als oom ende voogd van Maria Selyns mede een dochters dochter. Commentary	Maria Fredrix Rochusdochter or Rochsdochter was the daughter of Fredrick Claesz. Roch (1540-1608), wine dealer in the Warmoesstraat in den vergulden Roch, who married Aeff Cornelisdr. in 1569 and Lijsbeth Quirijn van Rijnevelt in 1576. Lijsbeth Quirijn died in 1608. Maria probably was a daughter of the first marriage (Elias, Vroedschap van Amsterdam, vol.1, p.408). A portrait of Frederick Claesz. Roch de oude was recorded in the present inventory (R 5476 of Montias2). Maria Fredricks was the granddaughter of Claes Symonsz. (wine dealer in de Roch) and Marij Fredericks and the niece of Symon Claesz. Roch of INVNO 1098. Maria Fredrix was the sister of Duyfgen Fredricks (1588-1613), who married Isaac van Gerwen of INVNO 237 (see the TEXT of R 155 of Montias1). Erm Claes Roch who married Hans Hanswyck of R 31647 of Montias2, was the daughter of Maria Fredrix Roch's cousin Claes Jacobsz. Roch. Maria Fredrix Roch may have been married, at one time, to Hendrick Selijns I, who died in January 1606 (see the NOTES to R 34387 of Montias2). (His first wife was Susanna Vercloecken). She may also have been married with Jan Roch, the father of her son Jochum Jansz. Roch, cited in the INTRO. Aeffje Jans, whose portrait was once paired with that of Hendrick Selijns (R 5496 of Montias2) and once with that Jochum (Jansz.) (R 5488), may have been the daughter of Jan Roch. The children of Jan Hendricksz. Selijns, her son with Hendrick Selijns, were Apollonia (who married Abraham Pietersz. Sadelaer), Hendrick, and Maria, cited in the INTRO. (On Apollonia, see the NOTES to R 21507 of Montias2.) Maria Fredrix Roch owned a house on the West side of the Heerengracht, next to the brewery of the Nachtglas and two thirds of a house on the O.Z. Achterburchwal. Her interest-bearing obligations amounted to f. 10,700.
