Commentary	On 27 February 1643, Henrij Gras, 40 years old, living on the N.Z. Achterburchwal, assisted by Niclaes Pelser, was betrothed to Jannetje Henrix Beukelaer, widow of Agge Brugman (DTB 459/69). Niclaes Pelser (or Pelsser) was one of the guardians of Hendrick Gras's children. Hendric Gras was buried on 4 October 1652 (DTB /10). Hendrick Gras was presumably related to Jan Gras of R 27064 of Montias2 who was also a director of the W.I.C. Hendrick Gras was the father of Annetge Gerrits, the wife of Hendrick Beuckelaer, of INVNO 250. The inventory was drawn up at the suggestion of Maria van der Trille, under the supervision and at the request of Goosen Danielsz. and Jacob van Bellecamp, the guardians of Catharina Gras, the only child left by the deceased. Among the books: [Catechismus] Ursini, 't loff van de kerck by Do. Roeloff Pietersz., etc... This inventory in part overlaps with INVNO 251, drawn up on 22 September 1648, after the death of Jannetje Hendrix, the wife of Hendrick Graes or Grau. The present inventory, in contrast to the earlier one, contains no attributions.
