Commentary | Anthony van der Heede II was the son of Anthony van der Heede I of INVNO 256 and of Margriete van Halewijn, his second wife. He was baptized in Amsterdam on 26 January 1620. On 28 March 1654, Manuel Spranger (of INVNO 1150) and Anthony van der Heede (II) declared that Hendrick van der Heede was a son of Margriete van Halewijn and Anthony van der Heede (I) (N. Plomp, Drie eeuwen van der Heede's in het Oosten van Holland, Jaarboek C.B.G. 39(1985), p.90). Jacob Bruijningh, mentioned in the INTRO, married Margareta van der Heeden, the daughter of Anthony van der Heede I and Margriete Halewijn, on 22 July 1649; he was buried on 6 October 1655 (Elias, Vroedschap van Amsterdam, vol. 2, p.855). She was the full sister of Anthony van der Heeden II. On 15 May 1647, Anthony van der Heede II witnessed the baptism of Christina, the daughter of Manuel Spranger (DTB 65/35). On 19 April 1649, he signed an agreement with the other creditors of the late Barent Coop van Groen, the brother-in-law of Abraham van Ganghen of R 32451, in reduction of the estate's debts (DBK 5072/872). By 13 August 1654, he had become insolvent, but an agreement had been reached with his creditors, who included Jacob Francken, brother of Anthony Francken of R 28925 of Montias2; Hendrick Bertels (of INVNO 1263); Jan Aertsz. van der Heeden; Jacob Lancelot Gansepoel; Jean Looten (of INVNO 286); Mathys Snoeck for (his father-in-law) Louis Houwen of INVNO 182l; Reijmont de Smit, of R 23589; Pieter van der Heeden (the brother of Anthony), cited in the TEXT of INVNO 257 of Montias1; Aper van der Hoeve, the son of Robbert van der Hoeve of R 24408 of Montias2; Garbrant Ormia; and the notary Justus van der Ven (who was married to Anthony van der Heeden's sister Catharina) (DBK 5072/873). For his inventory drawn up under the auspices of the DBK, see INVNO 1274 of 8 July 1660. Anthony van der Heeden II is not known to have married. Among the books, which suggest that Anthony van der Heeden was Reformed (and probably Calvinist), there were four volumes of Rodolph Pietersz. and a Bible in folio in der nieuwe oversetting. |
