Commentary | Among the books: Luytersche Bijbel, Martelaersboeck. On 29 June 1641, Wouter Stapelman, from Aurick, surgeon, living in the Breestraet, no living parents, was betrothed to Annetje Cornelis, widow of Gerrit Anthonisz., living as above (DTB 456/61). Gerrit Anthonisz. was himself a surgeon. On 12 September 1625, Gerrit Anthonissen, from Amsterdam, surgeon, assisted by Teunis Gerritsz., his father, living on the Nieuw Ossenmarckt, was betrothed to Annetje Cornelis, 27, assisted by her sister Jannetge Cornelis (DTB 430/247). Wouter Stapelmoer may have been the father or the older brother of the surgeon Ludolf Stapelmoer, whose widow married the book seller (and hommes de lettres) Jacob Vinckel on 4 April 1672 (H.F. Wijnman, Uit de kring van Rembrandt en Vondel, 1959, p. 167). Among the debts due by the estate were 3,300 f. to the children from a previous marriage (voorkinderen), named Cornelis and Marritge de Ruyter, and 1,250 f. as the unpaid portion of a house bought by Stapelmour. | |
