Commentary | Pieter Vogelsang (or Vogelsanck), the son of Roelof Woutersz. (Vogelsanck) (b. 1578), dealer in grutterswaren op 't Water, near the Papenbrug, and of Hillegont Jans Vogelsang (1579-1621), was baptized in the O.K. on 31 March 1616. He was an attorney on the Singel, near the Lijnbaansbrug. He became pensionaris of the city of Amsterdam in 1650 and was named Raadsheer in the Court of Holland in 1654. He died unmarried and was buried in the N.Z.K. on 10 September 1663 (Elias, Vroedschap, p. 200). |
