Commentary | On 20 December 1653, Hendrick Lintlage, from Ossenbrugge, merchant, widower of Helena 't Hart, living in Rotterdam, was betrothed to Anna Retaen, from Aken, 53, living on the Princengracht (DTB 682/88). Anna Rethaen was buried in the Z.K. on 16 June 1671 (DTB 1091/17). Jan Petrus Retaen, Anna's nephew, was the designated universal heir. He may possibly be identical with the (amateur?) painter Hans Retaen to whom a vase of flowers and an untitled painting were attributed. |
