Commentary | Hermanus Keilaert (or Kuylert), the son of Lucas Keijlaert (I) and of Tryntgen Goosen van Flory, was a Roman Catholic secular priest whose hidden church was located on the O.Z. Achterburchwal, the second house to the North of the Korsjespoortsteg. On the Keilaert or Cuilaert family, see De Navorscher 93(1952), pp.21-3. Hermanus Keilaert was perhaps related to Andries Cuijlert of INVNO 1260. Hermanus Keilaert was said to be inclined toward Jansenism (which had some doctrinal points in common with Calvinism, especially on predestination). He died on 20 January 1670 and was buried four days later. He left his goods by testament to his relatives (cited in the INTRO) except some silver and other liturgical goods that he destined for a future priest (Johannes van Muyden). On 15 August 1670, the heirs of Keilaert came to the R.C. priest Joannes Ackerboom, who was the son of Jan Jansz. Ackerboom and of Margareta Plemp (born about 1620), the daughter of Dr. Cornelis Gysbrechtsz. Plemp (of R 21978) (I. van Eeghen, Pastor Joannes Akerboom Doedensz. en zijn doopboek, De Navorscher 92(1950), pp. 103-6). Lucas Keijlert, the father of Hermanus Keilaert, was betrothed to Trijntge Goosens on 4 February 1628 (DTB 671/36). For his death inventory, see INVNO 1299. On Fernand or Ferdinand de Molde see the TEXT of R 336 of Montias1. He was probably the brother of Hendrick de Molde, who was married to Lucas Keilart's daughter Margerita. | |
