Commentary	On 10 July 1610, David de Prins and his wife Crijstijna Jans had their child Joannes baptized. The witness was Samuel de Prins (DTB 39/426). On 5 February 1612, he was present at the baptism in the O.K. of Susanna, the daughter of Franchoijs van Koningsloo, an unidentified member of the Koningsloo family, and of his wife Lijsbeth Luijx. The other witness was Susanna Vermolen (DTB 5/7). On 29 May 1614, Davidt de Prins and Kristina de Prins had their child Lysbetken baptized in the presence of Wouter Verbrugge, Lijsbet Egberts, and Lijsbet Verbrugge (DTB 5/106). On 16 October 1625, Jacques Merchier (of R 20399 of Montias2) and Marten Verbrugge (of R 23544) brought 10,486 f. to the Orphan Chamber on behalf of Elisabeth, 12, and Christina, 7, the children of David de Prince, sugar refiner, whose mother was Christina Jans (WK 5073/549). On 7 July 1631, Egbert Jansz., merchant, replaced Marten Verbrugge as guardian over the children of David de Prins (see R 23554 of Montias2). The latter's religion has been inferred from the presence among his books of the Institutie Calvijn.
