CommentaryGerrit Thomasz. Rooseboom (or Roseboom), was born in 1568 and buried in Amsterdam on 6 May 1644. In 1597, he was clerk of the Secretary of Amsterdam, in 1601 he became Secretary. He lived on the Singel. He married Barbara Jansdr., born in Brussels and living in Leiden, on 12 April 1597. After her death, he remarried with Jacomijntge Lam in 1602. A daughter from this second marriage, named Emerentia, married Jacomo Pauw (Elias, Vroedschap, p. 202.)
