Introduction	Op den 9en april 1625 zyn vercocht de naerglatene goederen van Capteijn Jan Block ende Hillegont Martens zijn huysvrouw.
Commentary	On 2 September 1621, the children of Jan Michielsz. Block, capiteijn tot water, and of Hillegont Martens (Trijn 14 and Marten 9) were said to be entitled to an inheritance of 2000 f. (WK 5073/789). In 1631, his child, who was one of the orphans recognized (bekent by the Orphan Chamber) paid a tax of 10 f. (Kohier fol. 314, p. 72). The fact that Trijn, the child of Jan Block and Hillegond Martens, was born about 1607 suggests that Hillegond Martens cannot be identical with the woman of that name of R 29690 who was then married to Dirck Stoffelsz. who died in 1614.
