CommentaryOn 26 December 1598, Cornelis de Vetter, from Antwerp, living in the N.Z. Achterburchwal, widower (12 months) of Magdaleeentge van Exell, was betrothed to Francijntge Smulders, from Den Briel, 38, livng in the Jonge Coolensteegh. He was literate, she was not (DTB 408/532).
