CommentaryOn 10 May 1618, Gerrit Otsen, 38, and Arent van Lijsvelt (Liesvelt), 24, wine distributors (wijnverlaters) declared at the request of Jan Pietersz. van Delft that they had received a quantity of Nantes brandy wine loaded onto a lighter (NA 200, film 111, Not. J.F. Bruyning). The widow of Gerrit Otsz., wine distributor, appeared before the Orphan Chamber on 25 October 1628. She was a buyer at the present sale (WK 5073/789). She may be identical with the widow of Gerrit Otten, living on the O.Z. Voorburchwal, who paid a tax of 10 f. in 1631 (Kohier, fol. 133, p. 31).
