Commentary | David Fransen was a buyer at an Orphan Chamber auction in 1637 (R 21903 of Montias2). In January 1633, he and Gysbert van Wieringen set up a company to deal in spices. The capital invested was to be shared equally, as were the profits (NA 843, fol. 475, Not. Hoogeboom). See also the NOTES to R 21903. |
